About the Event
Following last year’s launch, we are looking to expand this initiative in Banff. This is for MEN ONLY who are interested in getting together to develop new skills, discover new interests, and make new friends. Symbolic of a backyard workshop where men share stories and tinker with projects, the idea is to bring men, young and old, together “shoulder to shoulder” to support each other in various ways and make a difference in their communities.
About the Host
Founded in Australia in the 1990s, the community-based Men’s Shed movement has expanded to more than 15 countries. The first Canadian Men’s Shed started in Winnipeg in 2009. With over 140 sheds across our country today, Canada has achieved the fastest growing Men’s Shed initiative globally!
